Happy Holidays From Charity Fundraising

You’ve been shopping for weeks and selecting the perfect gift for all of those important people in your life.  You’ve wrapped and bowed a sweater for mom, a new tie for dad, a selection of colorful, noisy toys for the kiddos and even a little something festive for your boss at the office. But as your holiday shopping season concludes be sure to remember those less fortunate.

This is an especially hard time of year for many families here in the U.S.  According to the United States Census Bureau there were 46.2 million Americans living in poverty.  During tough economic times, tragedy and heartache, families in your community can have a brighter holiday season with your help.  There are organizations all around you that exist to provide food, clothing, gifts and services all around your community.  There are even organizations that accept used cell phones, eye glasses and electronics and donate them to families in need.

Sites like Charity Navigator provide a guide to non-profit giving options and encourage intelligent giving.  If you are unsure where to donate your time or financial resources, visit Charity Navigator or do a simple search on the internet to find an organization that specializes in a cause close to your heart.  The United Way also provides information on giving to specific causes based on your zip code.  This allows you to help families in your own community.

All of us at Charity Fundraising wish you all a very happy holiday season and a blessed and prosperous 2013!

See you in the New Year!
